"If you want wedding, you go Wang."
I couldn't help myself. I couldn't not hear Anthony tell Charlotte that at Vera Wang when Lindsay told me her dress was at the aforementioned design house featured on Sex and the City.
However, if you want great, intimate wedding, you go Osteria Via Stato in Chicago. The quaint and rustic space fit Lindsay and Robert perfectly. The detailing in the flowers, the artichoke and asparagus votives, the warm candlelight, the farm tables . . . what a beautiful space.
I met Lindsay at Dayna and Jason's wedding last August and soon after, we met to discuss her wedding this year. One of the greatest parts of wedding photography is getting to know clients. [Fast forward through our Chicago winter.] We met up to do a walk thru at Osteria Via Stato and ended up chatting for a couple of hours about all kinds of things! Lindsay is truly such a great lady and I was hearing the most wonderful things about Robert and her soon to be step-children. I was getting very excited to meet the rest of them on the wedding day.
The day of the wedding, it was pretty chilly but we had peeks of sun coming through and did a first look right at the Grand Station on the Redline. After a quick warm up in Rock Bottom, we ventured back out for a few more snaps before heading back.
About 90 guests gathered to see Lindsay and Robert, with their children, tie the knot. A short and beautiful ceremony, a quick breaking of the glass, and Mr. and Mrs. Bertoncini let the celebration ensue!
So glad to have been able to capture these moments from the day. Some of my favorites below.
