2016 was year of amazing growth, closeness, emotion, and overall life fullness. From newborns to new marriages and Milwaukee to San Diego to Oahu, photography took me to new places, familiar places and amazing hearts. I went through periods of self doubt, questioning my work and its ability to stay fresh. I found inspiration in the work of so many artists. I was inspired by the faith of so many of the brides and grooms celebrating their commitment. I worked on sharing my love for photography and helping others take better photos. And it's because of all of you. You keep me going. The opportunity to continually create everyday is something I'm incredibly fortunate for.

Here's a glimpse into some of my favorite moments from 2016. When I look back on these images, I'm thrust back to that moment in time. I can hear the laughter and I can feel the happiness. It's my mission to capture life's emotion to serve as a reminder of the big moments, as well as, the moments in between.

2017 is going to be written in the salt and stars. And I'm looking forward to every day the new year brings. Keep loving. Keep believing. Keep pushing on.
