Spring weddings in Chicago are awesome. Spring weddings in Chicago at Greenhouse Loft are even lovelier.
Wedding :: Carolyn + David [University Club, Chicago]
Wedding :: Cristina + Justin [St Clements, Floating World Gallery; Chicago]
November weddings!!! This was my last wedding of the season and couldn't have ended on a better note. Cristina and Justin got married in Lincoln Park's St. Clements Church and celebrated at Floating World Gallery. Every detail was gorgeous - from dresses to table settings, but it was family and friends coming from near and far [Mexico and Tennessee!] that made this day even more beautiful. Cristina and Justin had one of the best November days you could ask for in Chicago.
So happy to be able to capture this day for these two super cool people.
Wedding :: Liz + John [Christ Church of Oak Brook; Hyatt, Oak Brook]
Their dads met long before this wedding day. After meeting years ago at dads day at the University of Illinois, Elizabeth and John finally began dating after both of their dads, separately, mentioned how they should date the other. Dads may know best, and in this case, they sure did. After marrying at Christ Church of Oak Brook, Elizabeth and John took to the Hyatt Lodge on McDonald's campus to celebrate their new life together.
Wedding :: Colette + Arnold [St Vincent Ferrer; Salvatore's, Chicago]
Early September weddings are perfect. You start to anticipate fall and fall colors, the weather is generally more mild, and it feels like football and back to school. I met Colette last summer at Katie and Paul's wedding and I was so excited to be able to capture Colette and Arnold's wedding day.
Wedding :: Cara + Alain [Belle Mer, Newport, RI]
After being a little backlogged, I've finally finished the editing of Cara and Alain's New England wedding. And I have to say, I loved every minute looking back through these images.
New England, what a gorgeous and charming place to visit. The sailboats, the lobster rolls, the salty air. To kick off the festivities of this destination wedding, Cara and Alain hosted a welcome party at Midtown Oyster Bar, right on the coast of Newport.
The following day, Cara and Alain got married in Newport, Rhode Island's Belle Mer on Goat Island. The New England backdrop was a stunner for these two beautiful people. Love couldn't have a more perfect day.
Check out some of the images from both the welcome party and the wedding day!
Wedding :: Jacqueline + Matt [Prairie Productions, Chicago]
Summer weddings in Chicago. You take a gamble on weather, but when you win, you win big. With close family and friends, and a beautiful and intimate courtyard ceremony with perfect balance of rustic and pretty details, Jacqueline and Matt tied the knot at the west loop's Prairie Production.
Simply beautiful and full of love.
Wedding :: Amanda + Joe [Pazzo's, Chicago]
Amanda and Joe left Illinois for San Francisco when work called. Turns out, they actually met at work, working for corporate Jimmy John's [we also took a quick fun frame at the JJ's Joe opened downtown on Michigan Ave]. For their wedding nuptials, they flew back to their home state for an intimate ceremony and celebration at Pazzo's at 311. Such a grand atrium set the backdrop for the ceremony. Despite this day being borderline freezing, Amanda and Joe were surrounded by close family and friends to make this an epic Chicago 'spring' day. Check out some of the frames from the wedding.
Wedding :: Carrie + Jeremy [The Bedford, Chicago]
High Five.
Cake toppers can tell a lot about a couple's personality. This one topped my list. [Pun intended.] So Carrie and Jeremy are both MAJOR Packers fans. In fact, it's what brought them together. In Detroit. In neither of their home towns. At an away game. In a chance meeting. Like in a movie.
So what happens next?
Wedding :: Shannon + Mike [Belvedere Banquets, Elk Grove Village, IL]
The last wedding of my 2013 season, November 30 . . . and it was sunny and relatively warm for late November. Shannon and Mike met in high school and as Mike recalled in his reception speech, he was trying to get a basketball game together... and Shannon wanted in. What Shannon wanted, Shannon got and over the course of so many years, their competitive natures grew them into a wonderful partners. I was so excited to work with them after first meeting Shannon and Mike when I photographed her sister's wedding [check out that Lake Barrington wedding here].
Some of my favorite frames from the Belvedere Banquets wedding.
