I met Mindy and Brian through Meghan and Nate Bargar last year. And once we sat together to chat about wedding details, they revealed that the wedding ceremony would be at Midwest Buddhist Temple in Old Town. Having grown up Buddhist myself, I thought what a coincidence to meet Mindy and Brian. Turns out, the coincidence goes even further. Brian's mom went to Senn High School, where my parents also attended. After digging through a ton of 'do you know this persons', we got down to details for the wedding.

June 8 was a beautiful summer day in Chicago. Not too hot yet. After getting ready at Hotel Monaco, we did the first look on the Chicago riverwalk. After a quick stop to Lincoln Park for photos, we arrived at Midwest Buddhist Temple for a quick and beautiful ceremony. While guests headed to Vivo for a cocktail hour, we decided to head to the meat packing district for some more urban photos. With perfect light setting on this gorgeous city of Chicago, check out some of my favorite frames below.

I loved working with Mindy and Brian. Super laid back and so much fun to be around. When a bride wears TOMS, I think that safely sets the tone for a great wedding day! Mindy also surprised Brian with a super awesome grooms cake . . . nachos. Editing these photos made we want a big plate. Now that this blog post is up, I think I'll go have some.
